FDI/SIOA 9/11 Rally of Remembrance: Yes to Freedom, No to Ground Zero Mosque
NEW YORK, September 6: The human rights organization Freedom Defense Initiative (FDI) and Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) will be hosting a pro-freedom Rally of Remembrance against the Ground Zero mega-mosque on September 11 at 3pm at Park Place and West Broadway.
The confirmed list of speakers includes 9/11 family members Rosa P. Leonetti, and others; former U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton (video message); the Dutch Parliamentarian and freedom fighter Geert Wilders; journalist Andrew Breitbart (video message); Gary Berntsen, a candidate for the U.S. Senate from New York; war hero and North Carolina Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano; New York Congressional candidate Susan Kone; nationally syndicated conservative radio host Mike Gallagher; Muslim Iranian activist Sam Khoshbaten; Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nassralla; and Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, which has filed suit to stop the Ground Zero mega-mosque.
The rally will begin with a brief memorial service for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, featuring prayers offered by a rabbi and a minister for the families of the victims and for the nation.
Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller, the popular blogger and columnist who publishes the acclaimed AtlasShrugs.com blog and executive director of FDI and SIOA; and SIOA associate director Robert Spencer, the bestselling author and director of JihadWatch.org. Geller is the author (with Spencer) of The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America (foreword by Ambassador John Bolton), published by Simon & Schuster.
Responding to requests from a faction of 9/11 family members who asked her not to hold the rally on September 11, Geller said: “I would have canceled the rally, but due to the large number of family members who have contacted me and asked us to help them speak out for their loved ones and give them a voice to express their opinions, in all conscience I cannot postpone the rally.â€
Building the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom, but of resisting an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York. Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law. Given the thousands of triumphal mosques that have been built on the cherished sites of conquered peoples throughout Islamic history, the mosque leaders’ claim that this mosque would be understood differently by Muslims worldwide lack foundation.

I just watched and listened to Geert Wilders’ speech from yesterday. I watched it on the website of Wilders’ Dutch political party. Unfortunately the film was incomplete, most likely due to a technical error.
But the complete text of his speech was on the same website as well, so I know what he said.
And what he said was the utter truth. There should never be a mosque on Ground Zero. This dreadful muslim fundamentalist imam, whose name I forget (thank goodness!) should NEVER be allowed to build his mosque on ground zero, because this would be, like Geert Wilders said, a sign of victory for the muslims.
I too say that there is no liberate islamm. Islam is a fascist culture. Unfriendly to women, to gays, to animals, and to those with a different religion and to those with no religion at all.
There IS no such thing as a moderate islam. This contrary to what some try to make us believe.
The only way we can except islam is if it is ever modernised: if it accepts woman and gays as equal, when they stop slaughtering animals on the day after ramadan, if they understand why we have animals as pets, if they realize and accept that there are different religions, if they dress the way WE do in this 21st century, if they stop their jihad, if the Maroccan youth are no longer for 90% criminals, if they understand that short dressed girls in summertime are NOT hookers! Maybe then, and only then, could we try and accept islam. Not a second sooner.
That’s why I say that islamization should be stopped in the entire free western world. That’s why I say that there should NEVER be a mosque, especialy one that will be built as a sign of triumph for the fundamentalist muslim movement on or in the facinity of Ground Zero. Thousends of people were killed by these terrible people on 9/11 of 2001, and we must NOT let them have their way by feeling bigger than the christians, by making them think islam is bigger than chritianity and freedom. So, with Geert Wilders I say: NO MOSQUE HERE!!!

Luckily all predominant Christian countries in Europe and America let you practice your religion with peace; whereas most predominant Moslem countries both under Sharia Law and Democratic not allow Christians practice our religion or practice with a lot of restrictions, without guarantee of being intimidated and even death.
So that people all around the world can see that you are really religion of peace.
We are Christians, both Catholic and Protestant feel so suffer here.
I hope US also concern about religious freedom all around the world so that there is no double standard for Islam.

I was very impressed by your rally but only the Dutch speaker took security seriously pepole with large bags were right under the front of your stage no security bag check the press platform was where the press should have been with at least 10 foot clearance in front of the stage people were hanging out of nearby building(nyc problem pd)direct line of fire to stage,a bomb dog at the entrance of the cage crowd area along with bag check The Dutch speaker appreared to wear a vest the organizer along with various speakers wore none.The final slam came as we walked backed to the PATH train we ran into the speaker from Egypt he had no bodyguard sad that you people do not realize the threat theses people purpose! retired k9 cop
NO MOSQUE AT GROUND ZERO. I am a 16 year old future US Marine and firefighter and oppose the mosque or any islamic thing around ground zero. OPPOSE THE MOSQUE BEFORE ANOTHER 3000 INNOCENTS PERISH!
