The human rights group Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) is hosting a rally in lower Manhattan on June 6 at 12 o’clock noon, to protest the planned construction by Islamic supremacists of a large mosque overlooking Ground Zero.
SIOA is one of America’s foremost organizations defending human rights, religious liberty, and the freedom of speech against Islamic supremacist intimidation and attempts to bring elements of Sharia to the United States.

The SIOA No 9/11 Mosque Rally will be at the corner of Church and Liberty Streets, near Ground Zero. Supporting groups include the Freedom Defense Initiative; ACT for America (ACT Manhattan chapter); Z Street; SIOE; No Mosque at Ground Zero; Staten Island Tea Party; American Bulldogs; VAST; the Center for Security Policy; Shalom International; the Unity Coalition for Israel; 911 Families; Indian American Intellectuals Forum; Veterans Against Jihad (VAJ); and Faith Freedom International.

Building the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom, but of resisting an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York. Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law.
Abdul Rauf has said that “an Islamic state can be established in more then just a single form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Shariah that are required to govern.†Thus it is clear that this mosque will teach Sharia, Islamic supremacism, and the denial of basic rights.
Abdul Rauf and other mosque organizers have been inconsistent and deceptive about whether their planned Islamic Center at Ground Zero will contain a mosque; ultimately they have admitted that it will. Belying his claim that this mosque will become a place for interreligious harmony, he has told the Arabic press: “I don’t believe in religious dialogue.â€
Abdul Rauf has been deceptive on other occasions as well. He has told the English-language press that mosque funding will come entirely from Muslims in America, while telling the Arabic-language press that many Muslim countries are contributing to funding for the mosque. His wife Daisy Khan has trivialized and insulted the memories of the victims of the 9/11 jihad attacks by saying that the mosque is intended to “make something positive out of 9/11.â€
SIOA is calling upon the Imam Feisal and other mosque organizers to withdraw their plans of the Ground Zero mosque in the interests of mutual understanding and mutual respect. Ground Zero is a war memorial, a burial ground. Respect it.

Woa there! First of all, no one is saying Muslims can’t worship in this country. Absolutely NO ONE! But you have to seriously admit that building a mosque in sight of and that close to the devastation caused by radical islamists on 9/11 IS completely reprehensible! No one is asking the government to deny they their permit. No one is asking for any government interference. Legally, one suspects that they have the right to build there. But what everyone is asking is that they please build elsewhere out of respect. It is a REQUEST - a very fervent one, but still a request. I hope is one they consent to. I will say one thing though. The city, State and the Federal government should make it totally clear that if ONE SINGLE tie to Islamic terrorism is found or one planned act of terrorism is associated with having come from this location, the place should be shut down and it should be demolished at the earliest possible time, assuming it is even completed. I’ll tell you, I truly believe those ties could already be found if anyone in this Administration would pull their head out of their rear ends and look. I take that back. I wouldn’t normally ask that the government interfere. But I REALLY think that the final approval and opening of this places has to be contingent on a clean background check of EVERYONE in the group sponsoring it. And the money has to be followed as well to make sure it isn’t coming from terrorist sources and put a stop to it if even one penney is. If it passes that and they stay totally out of trouble, fine. But I can pretty much guarantee you that isn’t going to be what will happen. Those ties WILL be found. Ultimately, jihad will be preached in this location, and acts of terrorism will be mastermined from there. What else would you expect? That’s the whole intent of this center going up.

Er…Native Americans were not always in America, you realize that, right? They also migrated to America, around 10k years ago. Of course, they didn’t deserve what happened to them…but most of the world’s populations have migrated in a similar fashion (South Africa, Scandinavia, and Japan, for example, all had indigenous people, and things played out somewhat the same).
Anyhow, I am a former life-long Democrat who appreciates diversity, supports Obama, and likes Health Care reform…not the type you’d expect to find here or with the Tea Party movement. However, I am glad that groups like SIOA exist, since they do represent a good proportion of America. There’s a line between being tolerant and politically correct, and being naive.
